Visionary leadership

Steve joined Orthopedic Systems, Inc. (OSI), when it was founded in 1978. Having held senior positions in engineering, operations, and research and development, Steve is now the company’s president and chief operating officer. 

Steve’s research background includes developing artificial limbs and designing tracked military vehicles. He is the named inventor on over 28 US patents, primarily for products produced by OSI in collaboration with leading surgeons.  

Steve has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from San José State University and performed graduate coursework in Biomechanics at the University of California, Berkeley, while employed full time as a research engineer in the UC Biomechanics Laboratory.   

Mark joined Mizuho OSI as Vice President of Research and Development in 2012, and in 2015 assumed leadership of the Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance organization. Mark also leads Mizuho OSI’s expansion into the developing areas of OR integration and intelligent OR. 

During his time at Mizuho OSI, Mark has developed innovative products to solidify OSI as the differentiated industry leader in specialty surgical tables. Prior to joining Mizuho OSI, Mark led product development for a number of medical device companies.  

He holds seven patents for novel medical device designs. 

Mark has a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Applied Mathematics from UCLA, and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland.

Kevin joined Mizuho OSI as Vice President of Operations in 2015 with responsibility for manufacturing operations, materials management, logistics and facilities. 

Kevin began his career in healthcare as director of materials at ADAC Laboratories where he negotiated national service agreements for diagnostic imaging equipment. He continued to lead teams in the medical device business as Vice President of Customer Care at Carl Zeiss Meditec. In seven years, he expanded his responsibilities from all processes after product delivery to global service strategy development and deployment to 25 affiliate countries as Vice President of Global Customer Support functions for the company.  

A submarine officer for seven years, Kevin has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Ships Propulsion from the United States Naval Academy. 

Yosup joined Mizuho OSI as Vice President of Finance in 2009, leading both Finance and Information Technology since 2015. He plays a key role in spearheading the growth of Mizuho OSI. 

A seasoned international finance and operations executive with a strong track record in international business, Yosup has senior experience in several multinational corporations in Asia Pacific and California, with responsibilities ranging from investment and acquisition to business expansion and financial planning. 

He has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Berea College and a Master of Science in Management from Purdue University.

Tony joined Mizuho OSI in 2014. He has held senior positions in product management, clinical research, professional education, and marketing and is currently the Vice President of Marketing.

Before joining Mizuho OSI, Tony held leadership roles in research and development, marketing, and commercial operations at various medical device companies specializing in orthopedic and craniomaxillofacial implant and instrument space. He holds 16 US patents for innovative medical devices in orthopedic implants and instruments.

Tony holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemical Engineering from Arizona State University, an MBA in Global Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, and a Certificate of Excellence in Senior Executive Leadership from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.
