1978

The Moore family establishes Orthopedic Systems Inc. (OSI), a medical soft goods company in the San Francisco Bay Area, California

Steve Lamb starts his career at OSI as a consulting mechanical engineer. Today he is our President and COO 

1980

Andrews Surgery Frame was OSI’s first operating room product, which later became the Andrew’s Spine Table

1992

Original Spinal Table System (STS) released, (formerly known as the Jackson Spinal Table) offering first use of radiolucent carbon fiber composite materials

2002

OSI acquired by Mizuho Group

2003

Collaboration with Dr. Joel Matta leads to the introduction of the ProFx® Pelvic Reconstruction Orthopedic Fracture Table providing the ideal table for any fracture procedure

2005

The company’s Hana® Orthopedic Surgery Table optimized the anterior approach to total hip arthroplasty (AATHA)

2006

Introduction of our exclusive Tempur-Pedic®  medical-grade pads and positioners for the OR 

2007

OSI changes name to Mizuho OSI

2013

ProAxis® Spinal Surgery Table delivers unparalleled surgical access with an advanced hinge design that allows surgeons to flex and extend the lumbar spine during surgery

2015

The Trios® Surgical Table System was introduced providing enhanced safety and precision to the original modular platform

2017

Launch of LevóTM Head Positioning System, offers an electromechanical design and a new level of control and precision to head positioning
